Schedule-Only authorizations are often used as a temporary solution while waiting for payor approval. Once authorization is approved, the Schedule-Only authorization should be updated so appointments can be billed correctly.
This article walks through how to convert a Schedule-Only authorization into a Schedule & Bill authorization, including updating the authorization status, adding approval details, and attaching supporting documentation.

Authorization Status
- Navigate to the Authorizations Module in the left side menu.
- Click Filter to find the client you that needs their authorization updated.
- Find the authorization that needs to be updated from "Schedule Only" to "Schedule and Bill". Click the three dots and click edit authorization.

Editing the Details and Approvals Screens
- Add the Authorization Number to the Details Screen.
- Change the status from "Schedule Only" to "Schedule and Bill".
- Click Next.
- Edit any information (if needed) on the Approvals Screen and click Next.

- Attach any supporting documentation that is needed.
- Click Save.

Once you have done these steps, filter for your client and you should find that the authorization you just updated is now listed as "Schedule and Bill".
