Workflows are something that you will become quite familiar with while using Boost. They help you to make sure you have gathered all the proper information required of you, based on your role in your organization.
Workflows show the steps and tasks that need to be completed in your role. Some employees may be a part of one workflow group, while others may be a part of many workflow groups. This article will give you an overview of what Workflows can look like in Boost.
✨ TIP: You can learn more about where Workflows can be launched from here: Manually Launch a Workflow.
Every Module has a banner across the top housing the menu, a conversation box, and a profile icon. The conversation box is where workflows will appear when they are ready to be worked through.
✨TIP: When a Workflow has been launched, the conversation box will have a red flashing dot on it, signaling there is new Worklflow to be looked at.
Clicking on the conversation box will open a new window. The "My Tasks" page houses all of the tasks that need to be completed in the current Workflows.
✨TIP: Your organization will assign you to Workflow groups. You will only see Workflows that pertain to the groups you are assigned to in the "My Tasks" page.
- Client Name
- Name of the Workflow being completed.
- Tasks to be done in the Workflow.
-
Due Date and Tasks Remaining
❗IMPORTANT - TASKS REMAINING: If the Tasks Remaining are equal (4 of 4, 8 of 8, etc.), this means that no one has started working through this Workflow. Best practice is to complete the first step, which is "Take the Task and Mark Complete", so that others working in your Workflow groups know that someone has been assigned to each Workflow. This ensures no Workflows are left behind.
Clicking on the Client Name or Name of the Workflow will open the Workflow, showing you all the steps that need to be taken in order to complete the Workflow. You can save at any time and come back to the Workflow as needed.
📌NOTE: Your Workflows will look different from our example picture. Workflows have been set up by each organization according to what tasks need to be completed.
Once you have completed a task, the grey boxes will turn to green checked boxes. Click Save.
📌NOTE: Sometimes you will need to choose to "Reroute" instead of "Save". When you "Reroute", you will choose another Workflow and this will send the current Workflow onto the next group needing to work on it.
The last step in a Workflow is completed on the "My Tasks" page.
Notice that the Tasks Remaining are now "0 of 4". There are not more tasks to be completed, so we will click the Complete button. You will be asked if you want to complete this step. Click Complete again.
Once Complete, the current Workflow is out of your "My Tasks" window, and you can start another Workflow!
