- New Billing Supervisors section. Sits right below Case Managers on the Team tab (renamed from Case Manager), with the same active/past split and history you already know.
- Add per payer and category. Need an exception for a single payer or for all of them, by a specific service line? Every scenario is supported.
- Multiple payers, one row. Cover several payers in a single assignment, tagged individually in the Payer column.
- Full audit trail, automatically. Every add, edit, and void for a billing supervisor posts to the client's Notes feed, so there's always a record of who made the change and when.
Billing Supervisor FAQ
Where do I set a client's billing supervisor?
- On the Team tab of the client's profile. This tab used to be called Case Managers. You can set a billing supervisor for a specific payer or for all payers.
Do I have to enter billing supervisors for all my clients?
- No. The case manager is the default. Enter a billing supervisor only when someone other than the case manager should be the billing supervisor.
Can a client have more than one billing supervisor at a time?
- Only one billing supervisor can be active for a given service category at a time. The service category you choose determines which claims the billing supervisor appears on.
What the statuses Active, Past, and Voided mean?
What happens if a client doesn't have a billing supervisor?
- Boost uses the client's case manager on claims. If a client has neither a case manager nor a billing supervisor, the session will be flagged as an error when the claim is processed.
Which payers can I choose from?
- The payers the client has a funding source for, including funding sources that are no longer active. This lets you process billing for past dates of service.
What if the billing supervisor applies to all the client's payers?
- Choose All payers. The billing supervisor then applies the claims for every payer the client has.
