1️⃣ Intro to Boost Workflow
Workflows are the core of getting things done in Boost. One way to use workflows is when a prospect is added to the system—they can be activated to guide you through the tasks your organization has outlined for the intake journey. You can complete tasks step by step, pause and return later without losing your place, and multiple teams can work on different tasks for the same client at the same time.
2️⃣ Start and Access Workflows
Workflows are always going to be associated with a Prospect (or Client or Employee, but that's for another lesson).
Start a Workflow
- Locate the prospect you want to create a workflow for.
- Click the three dots next to their name.
- Select Start Workflow .
- Choose the Intake Workflow you want to start.
Note: Workflow names may vary from the examples shown. Check with your Boost champion to confirm which workflow you should start.

Access Workflows
To access your active workflows, click the message icon in the upper-right corner.

3️⃣ Workflow Breakdown
A workflow in Boost is the structured process that guides you through a series of actions for a Prospect. Each workflow is organized into three levels: workflow , steps , and tasks .
- Workflow – The overall process that needs to be completed.
- Step – A grouping of tasks that can be assigned to a specific team or group.
- Task – The individual actions that must be completed to progress the workflow.
Steps are assigned to teams, and completing the tasks within each step moves the workflow forward.
Workflow Breakdown
-
Prospect Name – Shows who you are working on.
➡️ Example: DONNA SOUTH – FELDHEIM -
Workflow - Indicates the overall process you are working on and helps orientate you to where you are in that process.
➡️ Example: 01 New Prospect -
Step – Represents a group of tasks and shows which team or group is responsible. Helpful if you belong to multiple groups.
➡️ Example: Call Prospect (step) assigned to Intake (team).

4️⃣ Complete Tasks
Each task includes clear instructions on what needs to be done, and may also contain an additional checklist, reference documents, and space for notes. Click through the guide below to see the different aspects of completing a task.
